More about my journey

I met Jesus when I was just 7 years old (nearly 40 years ago!) and have walked with Him ever since. In 2015, I went through a miscarriage at 20 weeks gestation. Though the immediate following season was filled with grace and God's tenderness, a year later I found myself tormented and falling into depression.

After 16 months of wrestling, finally I found breakthrough in my spirit. That sent me on a quest to work on my physical body. I knew my hormones were completely out of whack and I went on a journey to balance them, which honestly, I'm still on today. Living in balance and harmony - body, soul, and spirit - is an ongoing journey that will continue until I meet Jesus.

I have learned so much over the last 7 years that, combined with my upbringing in the *crunchy* world before it was trendy, my 27 years of managing a household and family, and my nearly 40 years of walking with Jesus, I want to share what I've learned with you!

The physical (home) and the spiritual (soul) are highly intertwined and one will always affect the other. Thus, this space is home and soul collective, a community where we can find abundant living physically and spiritual - in our home + in our soul!

Romans 12:2

"Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God's will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes."

It's so easy to just go with the flow of culture in how we manage our homes and relate to our family + the world around us. But we are called to a higher place of kingdom thinking. If we want to experience a peace-filled and joyous culture in our homes, we must intentionally change our way of thinking. I offer insight on instagram + online courses to help you in making this inward transformation that shows up in your home.

3 JOHN 2

"Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering."

According to this Scripture, our souls should be prospering (along with every other aspect of our lives). The word prosper means, to be fortunate; succeed. It means to flourish, do well, blossom, increase, produce, benefit, and so much more! If you doubt that's what the Lord has for you, first, I encourage you to read John 10:10 where Jesus tells us exactly why He came to earth. Secondly, welcome to fallen humanity, we struggle to comprehend just how much the Lord desires for us to have lives of abundance. But that's ok, this is where the *soul* part of Home + Soul Collective comes in. We get to be on a journey together to transforming our hearts to come into agreement with the fruitfulness our souls can be experiencing through our life in Jesus!

Our Life So Far

When we started this blog in the summer of 2014, it was used to help me grow a gift in my own heart. Every day I felt God was doing something bigger in me and I wanted to share that with the world. As time went on this blog became a place to help others begin their own journey. I watched as my stories, thoughts, and encouragement unlocked the calling in others. God moved majorly in my life and opened doors for coaching, teaching, and encouraging so many people who are still using my resources today.

Since the beginning of 2022, we have been on a new adventure. God opened the door for us to do a monthly class filled with practical tools to help people experience the mercies of God. This blog is a tremendous blessing and I am so blessed to be doing this. I am excited to keep encouraging, coaching, and teaching others and I am so excited to continue cultivating a strong community every new day.
